Surgery...for eyes

The eyes are the first thing that most people look at when they first meet us,

The windows to our soul......

Our eyes can reveal such a lot about us. Our emotions and whether we are happy or sad.....tired, can show itself through the appearance of our eyes. Surgery to the eyes can help look younger, less tired, refreshed, more awake.

As we age our eyes develop wrinkles around them and there is also extra skin that can bulge. This is difficult to hide with make-up and surgery called Blepharoplasty may help.

Our Chief Surgeon Mr Rajan Uppal specialises in all the latest techniques

He is also a leading Consultant within the NHS he performs eye surgery to remove skin cancers that appear around the eyes and has considerable experience in eyelid reconstruction as well as cosmetic eye surgery.

Eye surgery can be performed under local anaesthetic or while asleep under a general anaesthetic. Patients can usually go home within hours of having a Blepharoplasty.

Eye lift surgery will benefit both men and women who have excessive, droopy skin around their eyelid or beneath the eye, giving a tired, unhappy, or aged appearance to the face. This means you may be in and out of hospital the same day. If a general anaesthetic is required, you will required to stay overnight in the comfortable surroundings of your chosen private hospital in London, Buckinghamshire, or Berkshire.

Most bruising and swelling is gone by twelve days, some will remain behind for six to ten weeks. Can I combine eye lift surgery with other procedures?

As eye lift surgery is a procedure mainly undertaken by people who wish to counter the effects of ageing, we offer several procedures for combining surgery.

Endotine Mid Face Lift

The area between your lower eyelids and your mouth is considered the MIDFACE. As you age, the effects of gravity, repeated muscle contraction, and lifestyle cause the skin, fat and muscle in this region to move downwards. When this occurs, the cheeks begin to look saggy or flat, lower eyelids can become puffy or hollow, circles begin to appear under the eyes, and the lines between the nose and the corner of the mouth deepen

Mid face lift restores the natural curves fullness in the cheeks by moving soft tissues back to where they were earlier. This is achieved by elevating the soft midface tissue repositioning it upward towards the eyes, this restores cheek volume and establishes more youthful midface contours. The result are natural with a revitalized appearance.

How do I arrange surgery?

The first step towards undergoing surgery is to book a consultation with a member of our friendly team. At consultation, you will see our Chief Surgeon Mr R Uppal and our senior patient co-ordinator, with whom you will have plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you may have about the procedure. We understand that this is a big decision for you and we want you to be totally satisfied that it’s the right thing to do before committing to the procedure booking.

Transblepharoplasty Brow Lift

As we age, the attachments of the skin and muscles of our scalp descend and begin to fall into the upper eyelids. Less invasive than traditional direct browlifts.

Transblepharoplasty BROW LIFT is often combined with a blepharoplasty to remove excess skin and fat in the eyelids.

The convenience of combining the browlift and blepharoplasty procedures achieves the goals of repositioning the brow to correct frown lines and sagging skin and removing excess eyelid fat and skin in one surgery.

The brow is elevated through a single upper eyelid crease incision and held in place with a suture or a surgical cleat (Endotine), which is anchored directly to the brow. Transblepharoplasty browlifts are typically performed under local anesthesic.
